Job Purpose

To ensure that parts are picked for workshop and customers accurately and in the minimum time. To ensure that every part is correctly located and the warehouse is kept clean and tidy at all times. To deliver the highest degree of customer satisfaction at all times.

Accountabilities

Parts Inward

1.   Check supplier deliveries; unpack and check parts against documentation supplied, following documented Receipt of Parts Process.

2.   Monitor the quality of the goods received; inform Parts Warehouse Supervisor of any quality problems.

3.   Perform risk assessment before proceeding with packing or unpacking of goods where required.

4.   Place all parts received in the correct bin/location.

Stock Control

5.   Monitor fast moving parts and complete parts order slip to advise Parts Supervisor.

6.   Correctly pick items requisitioned by workshop or customers in the minimum time, to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

7.   Monitor goods outward traffic completing the appropriate stock transfer forms, ensuring that there is no unauthorised withdrawal of stock.

Operational

8.      Maintain safe working standards and abide by working rules and standards.

9.      Complete regular warehouse tidying tasks, to ensure that all shelves are clean and stock is kept organised and easy to retrieve.

10.   Attend regular staff meetings, using them as a basis for the communication of any ideas for improvement in processes or cost savings.

Personal Development

11.   Maintain and develop own skills and technical knowledge through a development plan agreed with the line manager.

12.   Arrange an annual appraisal with your line manager in accordance with the company’s appraisal process.

·        High School Educated

·        Specific parts training completed – desirable

·        1 – 2 years parts experience – European brand desirable
